I don't know the exact date, but since it's 2006 now, does that make this year the 10th Anniversary of Field Crumpets?

It does. That's part of the reason for the face lift back near the beginning of the year, and for all the cool stuff Greg's been up to on the page. It would be nice to do a road trip or something, but this darn real life is causing problems. Any thoughts?

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is to use something like the Thanksgiving break to do a road trip. I would think we would do something like leave Friday morning and get back Sunday... this would not only allow us to eat Thanksgiving dinner with our families (as long as we lived close to them) and then take all the left-overs on the road trip.

It would also work out since both real-lifers and college folk would have the time off (well, for the most part - part-timers and a few full-time folks might have responsibilities.) It has the downside that
a) We'd loose people which wanted to go home for Thanksgiving break
b) Thanksgiving is a popular time to be traveling, highway congestion and the like (although Friday morning wouldn't be bad, Sunday evening would be) Also, if we don't have the luxery of knowing someone who could house a good number of Crumpeters (last time was awesome, but I could never ask anyone to do that no matter how well I knew them ) then we'd have issues with lodging.
c) People who were comming into KC for Thanksgiving (I'm thinking Shell, possibly others) may not have the ability to fly back Monday and therefor would have issues being able to go. Also may not want to spend Thanksgiving on a road trip even if they could.

Still, I think that it just might be one of our better options. We'd probably want to start thinking about it now, though, if it were an option we were willing to pursue.
